Just started my 2nd week and things seem to be going alright. Work is rather interesting and am really glad i got to do this placement. So far, i have seen a myriad of endocrine cases that has indeed fuelled my interest in the subject! Although there is much reading involved for this elective, it is truly time well-spent.
Apart from work, have managed weekends away to Washington,DC, Philadelphia and Annapolis. Travelling in the states is killing me..am so tired of waiting at Greyhound bus stations (yesterday waited for 1.5 hrs amd there was this girl who had just gotten dumped who cried the whole time) and freezing on the buses... Went for some seafood festival yesterday, which was a big disappointment. The food wasn't even that great, and it cost tooo much to get there. However, we adjourned tp annapolis, and the town was amazing. it was quaint, and peaceful, and whilst i was there, i realised i would love to have my own boat one day...
so far, things have been good:
1) eaten >5 good meals a day
2) not met any dodgy taxi driver
3) kept shopping to a minimum ( maybe cos there's not much shopping to be done in baltimore!)
There aren't too many elective students here, but still, have rather good company. Am missing Xu too, and am sorry she's not here as well.
Hope this week is as enjoyable as my last!
