The Perfect Answer

Determined to neaten up my shoe collection which i have now catalogued and arranged according to type, heel height and colour, i got a nice new shoe rack which the fiancee efficiently assembled whilst i took me afternoon nap.

I then also efficiently went shopping that same day and got more new shoes...Of course, the perfect answer to shut the boy up when challenged was, "you can never be too rich, too thin or have too many shoes". Hah.

Currently thinking: I really desire a walk-in wardrobe type shoe closet...where i can see all my lovely shoes in their glory... unfortunately, the proposal of turning my future living room into that has been rejected completely by him. Hmph, what do men know?

I'm off for 3 whole days.

In my folly i've just spent 170 pounds on something which will most probably be completely wasted. and no, i can't get a refund. Oops.

Currently doing: Putting off having to read some medicine. Polishing off the snacks around the house. And also, wondering how i managed to get multiple bruises on my body without noticing. On a happier note, my (pesky) sisters will soon be back, and i won't be the ghost in the flat wandering around the empty rooms no more.

Remember I told you my room in hospital accomodation smells of rat pee and that i was convinced the roof was still leaking?

Well... I WAS R.I.G.H.T - RIGHT.

was rudely awakened by constant splat-like noises at 4am this morning. realising i could not investigate in the dark, i threw the lights on rather grumpily and found my ceiling dripping. great.
SO MUCH FOR MY LIE-IN!!!

see, silly accomodation lady - i was right. and 9 months later (just as i am about to vacate the room), yes, the ceiling is still unrepaired and now, properly springing not 1, not 2, but 3 leaks.

Currently thinking: what i should do this weekend - totally cannot wait for the weekend. can't wait to lie-in. can't wait to have my skinny latte as i window shop. can't wait to just do nothing. no cannulas, no bloods, no irritating bleeper going off..you get what i mean.

The sun is shining, it's a lovely day!

Just a quick update:

1. Congrats to all my peers on F1/2 postings - everyone seems well pleased (as am I!)
2. Easter weekend has gone by so quickly. Aargh. But fret not, holiday-crazy-me is already on the case for my next holiday, exactly 1 month from now. Can't wait.
3. My telly watching skills have diminished. Unfortunately, my quest to compleye grey's and house has failed miserably. Sigh. Where have my telly watching skills disappeared to???
4. Healthy eating has been oh-so-UN-successful. It doesn't help when i'm always surrounded by chocolates and i've got a new taste for toast with honey.
5. It's another short week!!! WOOHOO! with NO on-calls. Double WOOHOO!

Goodness, its been a month since i've had my holiday and i'm already itching to go on my next one (Vienna, woohoo!) already. Been super busy at work (how can i possibly be unbanded???) and so much is going on. Have had my share of RSV i think from the kiddies - had the worst productive cough i've ever had!!! didn't think one could produce that much gunk..eew.

Otherwise, things have been good..Social life is back on track since my brief TB-like cough..Did miss a couple of parties but hey! Managed the quiz night at the social, but due to the drunken quiz master, obviously the scores weren't tallied right and my team lost...WE SHOULD HAVE WON!!!

Congratulations to my friends who have gotten married / engaged in the last month or 2. What's with all the weddings and proposals!!! ( i think i shall panic at 33)

Helped Jack and Sarah move house today. Enough of a work-out for me this week. How much stuff you can accumulate in 5 years, let alone 7!!! Their new dig is lovely...all nice and new, with completely white washed walls and flawless parquet (erm..not sure after the move in?!) Good luck to them as they busy themselves furnishing the entire flat!

Anyhoos...we lose 1 hour of sleep tonight, so sleep early y'all!
