3rd week terrors

My weekend was not as uneventful as i imagined it to be. asked the security man downstairs about malls, and the first thing he says to me is: "BRING A FRIEND!" ok...so shopping is not safe either...anyhows, i did bring a friend, and to get to the mall, we had to endure a 25 min metro ride with drunks hurling abuse, then trudge through a valley full of bushes before we eventually got there. on hindsight, maybe idling the weekend in my room might have been a better choice. i have never felt so threatened in the day time before. my advice to those who choose to come here for an elective: don't bother going shopping, and don't wander off on your own. ITS NOT SAFE!!!

Watched a movie the same day - wedding crashers. It was the dumbest movie i've ever had to watch. i have no idea how SN coerced me into it..i think it might have been pure boredom, and the fact that staying in the cinema might actually act as a safety coccoon for a couple of hours. the movie was pathetic! and i don't even know why people bother to watch it (myself included). it was so ridiculous, it was unbeliveable... i think it only deserves 1 / 5 chapatis.

Am currently reading Let their spirits dance by Stella Duarte. this novel is compelling, and the characters are fascinating too. however, the powerfully sad story does succeed in making you quite depressed, so i would save it for a really rainy day. together with a tube of ben & jerrys plus a dozen or more krispy kremes. that should balance out all the negativity (she says!)

Laurel: did have cheesecake actually!!! went to the cheesecake factory and had godiva AND oreo cheesecake in 1 sitting. was in paradise for 15 mins before the sugar actually kicked in...had a sugar-high the rest of the evening and succeeded in annoying GHW 10,000 miles away..heh heh..

American terms and acronyms are driving me insane!!!
