A weekend of eating

Since I have yet to be paid, my weekend's gastronomique has been kindly sponsored by the parents. (whom, i'm sure wonder why they have been unsuccessful in shaking me off financially till this day)

As usual, it had to be Peninsula on the way back from work..with the usual salted fish fried rice and the honey pork chops and the dou-miao...

Then, together with Kim, we went to Ten Ten Tei on Sat where the Agedashi tofu was brill and so was the stewed Mackeral, although why i ordered mackeral, i don't know since jack has dozens in the freezer waiting to be eaten.

Highlight of the weekend was Nouveauté. SCRUMPTILITIOUS, MOUTH-WATERING, LIP-SMACKING DAMN GOOD CHOCOLATE CAKE. Accompanied with my (full-fat) cafe latte, it was perfect. Although, as I found out the next day (i know..i'm sad), the cakes change daily, and they didn't have any! Boo-hoo.

Sunday lunch was spent at Royal China Club. As usual, it was pretty expensive, but the dimsum was good..and this time, the dover sole cheung fun wasn't fishy! I even had a chicken foot which tasted prety good! I guess they have to cover the cost of maintaining nice loos with Morton Brown handwash + lotion + proper towels...

All in all, it was a pretty good weekend...Back to work tomorrow!

Currently reading: Patricia Cornwall's Predator. I have no idea what's going on!!!
