For 130.50 pounds...

Graduation Ball was yesterday, and to start things off, it was a wet and windy day. Fine. We can live with that. Then all the cab companies around my area went on strike and we couldn't get a single cab. Not 1. Zilch. There i was, panicking away, 5 of us standing by the road..flagging down NO cab. Fine. Luckily we've got Laurel. (Hee) Into the Polo we went. 5 of us plus Laurie. Definitely illegal. Packed like a tin of sardines about to explode...and the car was heavy (according to Laurie) haha..poor girl..cannot brake properly, nor could accelerate..

We eventually got there, unloaded ourselves (much to Laurel's delight!!!) and started our "glamourous" entrance to ... ... SHEPHERD'S HALL ... (its the hospital staff canteen btw) well, at least they tried...by moving all the tables to the side and hoping no one would notice..haha..."i would like 2 eggs.." muttered Chris, "..and a sausage" said I. Well, after all it is THE place for cheap oily-coronary causing-1000 calories fry-up...

Then, we had to take our year photo in the garden (which on a nice day is a brilliant idea) but on a wet, rainy day is certainly unenjoyable...plus walk across Westminster Bridge (still raining) to get our boat to Greenwich...

Finally things started picking up...wine and nibbles...the rain ceased once we got to Greenwich, the painted hall was beautiful...just when we got all excited...DAMN, didn't win any raffle prize...the risotto was crunchy..the apple torte was chao-da (burnt) and the shiraz was un-drinkable...couldn't they have gotten a good merlot instead?!?

Well, got tired of being hungry and indulged myself in the good company instead. It was nice chatting to everyone again especially since we've all been in hibernation for the past 1 month prior to the exams.. caught up with everyone i wanted to catch up with...oogled at all the nice dresses and shoes..bought an overpriced photo of us for 10 quid..(ok..it was a nice photo)...

The highlight of the evening was - SUPPER..heheh..we were kinda hungry ok...considering it was the first time i've ever had to eat crunchy rice crispy type risotto! wonton mee never tasted that good... then it was off to bed, or not for some...i guess food still is the centre of all singaporean friendships, no?

Too lazy to upload my photos from my (new) camera, or rather my geriatric computer cannot handle it...will just pinch the photos from christine for now..hee.
Currently eating: The very last Corne Port Royal chocolate...sob...
