Kimmie Gastronomic Review - Cafe Des Amis
GHW took me to this french restaurant over the weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. Located in a small lane off Long Acre in Covent Garden, this recently refurbished restaurant is definitely one i would recommend to my friends. The ambience was divine, and the food much to be talked about. The scallops parisienne were seared to perfection, and the wild seabass i had (though the portion a tad small) boasted quality and taste. i then had crepes suzette for dessert, and though it was nothing to shout about, the orange sauce was perfect in topping off this delicious meal. Also, if you are a wine drinker, their wine list was rather extensive indeed! The only thing that didn't get me too excited about was their 15% gratuity, which, to poor students like us, was a rather neat sum indeed. (maybe i should do some waitressing?) It was definitely a nice night out, and maybe you should give this restaurant a go the next time you're in the area!
